The New York Post received anonymous images and videos that were allegedly downloaded from Fr. George Passias work computer that showed him in compromising positions involving strange sexual fetishes.

The Greek News Network first reported on Passias’ suspension from his duties at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in New York City after details of an extra-marital affair were revealed.

Passias, an adherent to fundamentalist and conservative faction of the Greek Orthodox Church led by the controversial Greek Orthodox monk Ephraim, he enforced strict rules at his church including forcing women to be covered during confession.

The New York Post revealed in its story that the priest had engaged in kinky acts with his alleged mistress, involving cakes. The Post said it received the videos and images from an anonymous source.

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese official in charge of the investigation and the suspension, Bishop Andonios confirmed the existence of the sex tapes but said he had not seen them.

After a weeks-long absence from the pulpit, Passias told his St. Spyridon flock in an e-mail last week that he was leaving for “personal and health reasons,” and confessed to “multitudinous sins and shortcomings.”
